A very Happy Birthday to Conall!! 8 Today!!
Well, life on the farm has been pretty quiet. Si's been working hard and I've been doing the odd job here and there to earn some pennies.
Si' had a CT Scan last Wednesday and now we're patiently waiting for his 2nd appointment with the ENT Specialist on the 10th Feb. The steroid nose drops he's been taking seem to be working as Simons not had a nose bleed for the last 5 days YIPEEE
In the meantime thoughj, we've booked ourselves to go for a Dry Dive at the London Diving Chamber Thurs 3rd Feb to 50 meters, so we'll be able to see if Si's fit to dive :-D and we'll decompress on 100% oxygen ...which will be lovely!!

6th January 2011
Happy New Year.!
Let me start by apologising for lack of posts, but UK wise, not much is happening besides work, family, and weather.
However, today I finally got to see the ENT specialist after a long 6 week wait. Since arriving back in the UK, I have had nose bleeds every single day, plus earaches, loss of hearing etc.
So, after explaining everything to the consultant regarding my diving issue ... (see http://diveinstructorjournal.blogspot.com/2010/06/day-145-29th-june-2010-reverse-squeeze.html ) he sprayed a local anaesthaetic up my nose. Then up went the camera to have a good poke around.. It was a little uncomfortable, and I was trying not to sneeze!
Nothing untoward up there, so I have been referred for a CT scan to see higher up in my sinuses (where the issue was) and then a possible operation to widen the sinus area. I hope that this operation will not be needed as it will delay any diving for at least 2 months.
My next appointment is the 10th of Feb. A bit of a downer considering our original plans to return to Koh Tao at the end of January.
I shall keep you updated!
